Nyanda Sacco was registered in 1975 under the Co-operative Society Act Cap 490 as a savings and credit co-operative society with Registration No 2306 .The Sacco started with 37 members drawn from local authorities then. Over the years the membership has grown.
The SACCO membership comprises of Primary (Class A) and secondary (Class B) members.
The primary members (Class A ) are drawn from employees of the County governments and Nyahururu water and sanitation Company while the secondary members (Class B) comprise of all members contributing outside the check off system.
The Sacco is managed by a team of nine qualified management committee members. There is also a supervisory committee of 3 members and five members of staff.
The Sacco’s office is at Nyahururu Town, Cigma Centre- 2rd floor Room 201. However, the process of relocation to our own offices located within the town is underway.
