BURIAL AND BENEVOLENT FUND

Supports the members during hard times of, hospitalization, bereavement and retirement.

The fund caters for:

Features

- Is compulsory for all members.
- Runs for one year (Nov – Oct).
-The annual contribution is 4800/=.
-Consider both mandatory and voluntary retirement- one must have been a member for five continuous years prior to retirement.
- Any false claim document attracts a fine and a refund of the funds paid.
- Alteration cases are not settled until the doctor has certified.
- Alcoholism / Suicide cases leading to hospitalization are not settled
-Net balance is shared amongst the contributors at year end.

Requirements when making a claim

  1. Fill a claim form
  2. Hospitalization – Stamped and signed discharge letter from hospital.
  3. Death – Gathering permit, Burial permit, Death certificate, public advertisement.
  4. Retirement – Notice letter for check off members and ID copy for class B members.
