We are seeking a visionary, results-oriented, and dynamic leader to serve as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and provide strategic leadership that will position Nyanda SACCO for continued growth and sustainability.
Position Summary
The CEO will be the principal executive officer of the SACCO, responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and compliance with cooperative and statutory regulations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will drive innovation, membership growth, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership and ensure sustainable growth of the SACCO.
- Develop and implement policies, strategic plans, and business initiatives approved by the Board.
- Oversee prudent financial management including budgeting, reporting, risk management, and compliance.
- Spearhead deposit mobilization, membership recruitment, and loan portfolio growth.
- Enhance customer experience and promote service excellence.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing staff teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Prepare and present timely reports to the Board on performance, opportunities, and challenges.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with members, regulators, and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Second Class Upper or above).
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management, Finance, or related field) will be an added advantage.
- CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (minimum CPA II completed).
- At least FIVE YEARS in Sacco’s, financial institutions, or related sectors, with at least THREE years in a senior management position.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, credit management, deposit mobilization, and financial reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of SACCO laws, cooperative governance, and financial regulations in Kenya.
- Proven record of leadership, innovation, and delivering measurable results.

Terms of employment
Three-year renewable contract
